PromoBrand have been working with Southeastern Rail in order to run the world's first selfie stick loan scheme, which offers rail passengers the use of a complimentary selfie stick for the duration of their trip down to Tonbridge Station.
With Selfie sticks being such a popular item, it's known that almost a fifth of us take a selfie on our travels or days out, and with this scheme it will help people capture and explore the beauty of the South East.
This new pilot scheme has been set up to support Southeastern's hidden gems competition, which is encouraging all passengers to share their images of their hidden gem, found in the South East on Facebook. Passengers are asked to return their selfie sticks to the special 'selfie stands' that will be set up across the network during the pilot.
Southeastern have now been running this scheme since August 20th, seeing great success along with Waterloo East, Canterbury West, Margate, and Dover having their own sticks available.
Barbara Thomas, Passenger Services Director at Southeastern, said: "In peak summer holiday season there will be plenty of families enjoying days out and taking lots of pictures as they go.
"It's such a shame when someone gets left out of a great shot because they're the designated photographer, so we're giving passengers a selfie stick to make sure that doesn't happen.
"We want passengers to go out and discover the best that the South East has to offer and to share their experiences with us on Facebook."
